From Rushbrooke to David April 17 1918
Only a line, my dear David, to say how much sympathy I feel for you in your enforced inactivity, and how hopeful I am that, from what I heard from some other prisoners of war, you too are being well and kindly treated. Get a message from home sent me, if you can do no more. Be of good courage.
Yours affectionately
WG Rushbrooke
